Blanco State Park is the perfect day trip during the summer months where you can enjoy swimming and fishing along the Blanco River. Blanco State Park is actually a fairly small state park but if you live in the area it’s definitely worth checking out.
Pedernales Falls State Park is one of my favorite state parks in Texas. Every time I have family visit, I always plan a little morning trip out to Pedernales Falls State Park. McKinney Falls State Park is the perfect way to start your weekend trip to Austin, Texas. McKinney Falls is 10 miles from the state capital, 7 miles from the airport, and just 20 minutes from my house! Not that you care where I live, but it does explain why I visit McKinney Falls so often.
