    Today, I want to be completely transparent in sharing the costs for our kitchen remodel. I feel like the cost of a kitchen remodel is this massive secret that people don’t really talk about and I hate that! How can someone make an education decision if no one is actually sharing the financial side of projects? When you research the costs of kitchen remodel, you’ll find websites that provide you with a range from $11,000 to $76,000. I don’t know about your financial situation but that’s a really big price range for me to try to work with. We’re big Dave Ramsey fans so we want to budget accordingly before we dive into any project. We spent almost a year planning and saving for our kitchen remodel.

  • DIY Refrigerator Cabinet

    Our DIY refrigerator cabinet, also known as refrigerator surround, was a last minute addition to our kitchen reno. Neil decided he really wanted a refrigerator cabinet but I was being lazy and didn’t want to redo our kitchen design. He finally talked me into it and I’m so glad he did!! Our DIY refrigerator cabinet looks amazing!! You can order refrigerator cabinets but you’ll probably still have to assemble everything yourself. When we quoted a refrigerator cabinet for our kitchen reno it was going to cost us $850. We ended up doing this project for less than $100 and I absolutely love it!!

If you’re wanting to save some money on your kitchen reno, the best thing you can do is try to save your current cabinets.     Pedernales Falls State Park

    Pedernales Falls State Park is one of my favorite state parks in Texas. Every time I have family visit, I always plan a little morning trip out to Pedernales Falls State Park.  It’s such a fun little adventure!! I love the fact that every time I visit, it seems like a different park based on the water flow and rock formations.  I never get bored at Pedernales Falls State Park!!

    North Cascades National Park in a Day

    North Cascades National Park is absolutely gorgeous and it’s surprisingly one of the least visited national parks in the country. In 2020 North Cascades National Park had only 30,088 visitors; compare that to the 3.6 million people who visited Zion National Park in 2020. It’s crazy to think how many people are missing out on this beautiful gem!! I recommend spending at least one full day in North Cascades National Park (two if time permits).
